Vice News has exclusively obtained a selection of VP picks for the show “Vice.”
The Vice show picks include “Gangs of New York,” a comedy about an NYPD detective who, after years of working for a corrupt drug lord, discovers a new love for his own city and the city’s new law enforcement force.
The show, which premieres March 25 on HBO, stars Sarah Paulson as Detective Brian Houghton and is executive produced by Paulson, Kevin Bacon, and J.J. Abrams.
VP picks include: “Gangster Squad,” a TV series based on the gangster movies of the 1990s, set in New York City; “I, Robot,” a dystopian comedy about a cyberpunk world; “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,” a sci-fi comedy starring a young soldier; and “Murdered By My Dog,” a crime drama set in the 1990’s.
VP also picked up “Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” a series based in the world of the original “Buddhist Vampire Hunter D.”
VP also also picked “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes,” a show that focuses on a single woman and her relationship with her husband, played by Justin Long.
VP picked up series “The Expanse,” a futuristic sci-fier with an “A-List” cast that includes James Marsters, Tessa Thompson, and Adam Scott.
VP has not yet picked up a third series, but has been actively developing new series for 2017.
“Vice,” a new digital TV series, is currently available to watch on the VP app and on the Vimeo platform.
